The car

Yesterday was the day for Papa! His new car is coming! So off we went to the Proton Branch at Mutiara Damansara next to Tesco.

We had to wait for the sales person before we can head to the garage. And when we did, Papa went for the head start!

And there is the baby! Persona. It's a Malaysian made car.

While the men were at their standard observation job, I on the other hand observed other parts of the car! Like, the wheels.

And the seats.

It's time to buy 4D Toto!

Before we drive away from Proton, we took some photographs with the sales person which I forgot the name. He once told me that buying Ferrari is different from buying cars; not everyone is eligible to own a Ferrari. Ferrari is like a huge brand name; they actually have people check on the individual like the individual's status in the city, how much they earn, this and that... and Dad told me even selling out the Ferrari needs the Ferrari's company's approval.

To cut the long story short, Papa wasn't the one who get to test the car, I was first! From Proton Branch to home. And then I've decided Papa will still have to drive me around. Haha! But Proton so kiam siap don't wan to give full tank.

Pinky

A few days ago a parcel arrived 9.15am. The silly fellow never tell me he's right behind the door. When I opened the door, I saw this!

WooooHoooooo! Pearly's laptop is here!

Before that Ngaiw Chu heard rumours that he'll have a new friend, a blue tooth mouse! He was so excited!

Hobart was excited too!

After hushing my animal kingdom I finally manage to open the box. And a free bag appeared in the box!

And a few CDs in a smaller box just in case.

Meet the optical bluetooth mouse in the package! Before I manage to open the package, rude Ngiaw Chu took it away from me. Don't worry, Sharkie punished Ngiaw Chu by stuffing him into his mouth.

What's this?

Whitey got excited!

And finally after much of hustles, PINKY APPEARED!

Pearly, you have no idea how hard for us to get this lappie for you. Cindy had to crowd around 10 000 people in a huge hall and she wasn't having a good day. Thank Cindy for her bravery to fight in the battle of the crowds!

The performance is definitely much better than my own computer at home.

Well I hope you're happy with it, Pearly. Can't wait to see you soon!

I saw weird things...

Why is a bellboy doing at the lingerie section at Jaya Jusco, Midvalley?

I'm still wondering...

Just another day

Today papa cooked!

We had prawn, eggs with big onion and curry from the can!

I cooked the rice! I'm so full now...

a dedication to my brother in law

This is my sister, Cindy and my brother in law, Ah Loon.

This is my brother in law hanging cloths.

My brother in law also sweeps.

He mopped.

He vacuumed the carpet.

He cooked.

He went shopping.

And he's tired.

Hip hip hooray for my brother in law!

Haha!

A trip to Genting Highlands!

I went to Genting Highlands with a bunch of friends; Alan, Nicole, Ashley from Kuching, Sze, Royce for our short term break. The night before some of us went over to Royce’s place to help out with the steamboat.

Hobart tagged along! He became an instant mascot!

We had breakfast in McDonalds. Then off we go to Genting!

We went to play at the theme park!

We played the hunted house game. It was too lame.

The pirate ship game!

Then the spinning game which I can’t remember the name. But I actually dropped my bag with my wallet and my handphone (I hope not to receive a scolding for this due to a careless, unavoidable accident) while I was on the game but luckily a foreigner found it in a pond; my belongings were soaked. Unlike the ungrateful girl I was so grateful to the foreigner. The Theme Park hotel didn’t provide hairdryer. To cut the long story short, my handphone works wonders. In fact the reception became clearer.

We had pizza for lunch!

While we were walking around we saw dinosaurs so we ‘rescued’ brave Hobart from tupit Gon.

We even excavated Gon’s dead ancestors.

And off we go to, The Space Shot. I was seriously terrified. But I don’t know why I actually allowed my friends to dragged me into that scary game, and yes, I walked out of it alive. Haha! Actually it was really fun, just the waiting in the air was terrifying because you don’t know when it will drop, but when it did, I felt relieved. The view from above? It was great!

So we played again!

A friend of mine, Sze, played 6 times.

It was quite late already and most game station ended, we had no choice so we went to play the flying coaster. It really felt like Superman when I was there.

That night we had steamboat. It wasn’t properly done and I dislike the cleaning bit. This happen if you leave the job to a messy person. To make matters worst, we weren’t provided with a refrigerator. The food went bad.

That night after many rounds of Chor Tai Ti, Sze and I went out to enjoy the cold midnight breeze of Genting Highland. The midnight walk including stealing the plant that I like. We walked till it was sunrise then we went back to bed.

I woke up 10 minutes before checking out (thanks to my roomies). We walked around the entire hotels in Genting. There’s a memorial hall for the Genting Taikun. In fact on the way up there’s a memorial ground for him. A friend told me that it was built before he passed away.

And I spot this beauty! Gallardo Spider!

I had fun being with collegemates. But I only reached home at 9.30pm. Mafan Royce reached home at 10.30pm ler, thanks to the massive jam in Pandan Indah.

So the moral of the story for the whole trip is, plan at least 3 days ahead before going, especially food and how to store them; if a friend is driving, preferably pick and drop everyone at one destination spot, like KL Sentral to save time and energy; dare to speak out for your sleeping spot; and lastly, be selective of who you’re going with.

A sneak preview

Last week was actually a term break for me, but for most of us, especially my one term senior, was the week for them; a final presentation.

I was helping Royce most of the time just to see what he was doing and how was his progress so that I could learn a thing or two. I was helping him in terms of presentation as well.

On the day itself everything seems tense; there were 5 lecturers for the assessment, the room wasn’t prepared until 30 minutes before the presentation and everyone started to hang their project presentation panels. Some even printed their presentation panels on the day itself.

It was rough. One student briefly explained her interior refurbishment for barely 2 minutes and the lecturers shot her a lot of questions for 15 minutes.

Questions like, “What is the principle of Interior Design?”

It is floor, wall and ceiling.

Honestly you may seem I’m outspoken in terms of presentation and to speak, but after I watched how lecturers could find even a tiny miny mistake from your panel, it’ll make the tiny mistake look so huge.

I am scared.

As terrified as I am at the moment, a girl got to do what a girl got to do. So please, this is the moment for me; I really need encouragements and support.
