Woohooohoo

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

How??

*Lazy syndrom kicking in*

Yes... I do noticed the moment I started working I just didn't want to do anything else at home except doing my hobbies like SLEEPING (hey, who doesn't like sleeping except those unique people) or read online comic. And yes, I know how old I am, and I am not ashame to say I still read Naruto! Hahahaha! It's a great piece of work, ideas, stories, talent and art! Imaginations don't come easily, and these people know how to make use of such imaginations and translate them into 'reality' and earned BIG CASH for that.

As for me, well I am a designer. I've been a designer since I was really young. As a matter of fact, we ALL are designers. We design schedules, time tables, sitting positions, drawing lines to inteprete them into numbers or words, design strategies in order to finish the game, design complex matters into our head to help us remember our revision in order to ace our test.

I am different from most of my family members, well, except my dad; he is unique. They looked at my collections as rubbish; I looked at them as a source of inspiration. But sometimes it does take loads of effort to transform them into works of art.

Being out of college into the working life as a designer-who-came-out-from-a-design-school is almost like a Cinderelle story, only I'm still at the phrase where I'm scrubbing the floors, but the difference is my stepsisters and stepmother are the admin(s) or collegue(s), the birds are my family and friends, cute animals are my nice collegues, flowers are the beautiful things I see. My prince is far from sight, sadly... make sure he's really handsome, tall and charming, and my castle is going to be the blood and sweat for the years I will be in the design world.

And no, my castle is not going to be like Frank Gehry's de Riscal Hotel or Guggenheim Museum in Spain.

It's going to be like Frank Gehry's Dancing House in Prague!

I may not be the brilliant and young Danish Bjarke Ingels, but I might be the Frank Gehry-Interior designer next time you know; only hopefully it'll be functionable and sustainable.

I hope to bring differences into the lives of people I know and I don't know, in terms of design and standard of living, to be an inspiration and to create an icon.

I am a graduate!

Happy belated birthday Pearly. I'm sure you enjoyed your lovely cake until you didn't wanna eat it. And Mummy, you better take good care of that...

Scale 1 to 100

Check out human size 1 to 100 scale!

Can you see it??

Friday, September 19, 2008

When you got tired in office, you would...

Early one morning on Jesmine's table in the office... staring, Praying Bear.

"God, please release me from this evil lady in front of me... oh God!"

Then at 10am on my neighbour, Jerome's table...

"Dear God, I forgave Jerome for being a bad boy =)"

I went to Klang

I know I've been to Klang several times on the occasion of 'eating bah kut teh' but this time it was different; it's Royce's birthday!

It was a Saturday and Saturday is sleeping day and sleeping day is fun day but this Saturday is not much different, because it party is at night.

Kynex actually went along. And she did extensions that caused her rm300! Oh my gosh I will never spend on such! Well, maybe if I'm feeling filthy rich, earn about rm4000, I might spend for fun on my hair, but not now! My hair is always a mess (thanks to Cindy for smuggling out my hairdryer, I haven't even have time to buy a mosquito repellent and a hairdryer)and the comb is no way near to be found until someone actually commented I need to do rebonding... again, wait till I'm feeling rich. Maybe I should; one good thing about straightening my hair last time was I never use comb haha!

Ok enough about hair resolution. The fun part about being in a party is pictures pictures and pictures! People snap pictures with flashes on like no body's business, I felt like a celebrity top model that day though I am not the limelight of the event. In fact, I don't think I'm the only one who felt like a celebrity...

Many came and the whole house was a chaotic. Worst was when I arrived at 8.15pm with Loo Ping and Kynex thinking, "Hey, we're fashionably late!", I was wrong. The birthday boy wasn't even there! So I started the feast! Well, not really... I was shy so I made people eat 1st haha!

I get to meet up with old college pals! It's fun catching up with them and talk about college and how I missed those moments but I like where I am now. When I think back about college life and how hectic it was dealing with social events, I feel abit sad for the students these days wanting to repeat mistakes done by us and never learn or never really want to try new things. But I've washed my hands a long time ago. I'm quite good at letting go of responsibilities, my lazy nature kicks in most of the time!

That's Loo Ping and Kynex. Loo Ping actually took the time off from her finals (presentation is this coming Thursday) and attended Royce's birthday Party. She's from Melaka.

I picked Loo Ping up from the station and we had a nice chat towards Royce's house and I got to know she faced a similar situation as mine; a pathetic boyfriend causing problems during one of our most important moments of our lives for the same reason almost all guys will have. Only hers was abit too dramatic though. As we shared our problems I realised it was comforting to comfort others and how much we need positive encouragements in our life. Life is never fair, but how we manage the problems changes everything.

And that's Shannon. Shannon changed quite a lot (I hope). She's apparently different from what she used to be in college. I think she's mixing around with good people! Good people brings good news! I don't know if she manage let go of relationships and learn to let go of things that's bringing her down; I'm sure I did, many in a hard way. But I gain good friends! Give and take.

Anyway, it was Royce's birthday party, not history lessons of life. His family, especially one auntie is really funny. She overheard Kynex and I looking at pictures I took of Kynex and Kynex excitedly said, "I want this picture because I look thin" and the auntie burst out laughing and joked with us.

Royce is a good host. I don' know if he ate enough since he's always on one table to another and never stay put like Monster. But the problem is he is so shy (pretense) when it comes to making him take pictures. Though Royce is already 21, well, he still look superbly innocent (outside, not inside) I mean, LOOK AT THIS!!! But it was a fun party. I enjoyed.

After so long...

I know, I know I am lazy to update... haha! My apologies. I have my reasons.

After such a long time I finally get to sit on in front of my faithful desk and my dear computer to type this down. Work? Hectic, but looking at the bright side, it's quite fun to have different people around you. Though the boss s*cks I mean, nice, working environment is quite something... but we do need scary bosses with evil intention, making people work their *ss off to make the world go round; if not, you won't be in comfort. So give and take.

Many things happened within this one month, and one of them is AH LOON NAIK PANGKAT! Congratulations! Jadi major liaw. Must have more peace in Malaysia. I'm sure he'll be a great leader despite being a popular sanguine.

Before Cindy left for UK, she brought a cute little dog to the family!

Sadly, her name is none other than Monster. Poor Monster, luckily you can't speak human. If not I'm sure you'll be descriminated.

BUT MONSTER IS A CUTIE!

She's so cute, she keeps wagging her tail!!

She's so cute, that everyone wants to take pictures with her!

She's so cute when she want to jump and bite something that attracts her attention! What a hype! And she is not shy!

Owh, and one fine day I suddenly just decide to meet Cindy at Pavillion and we took dinner over there and I got the most rare smile you can find on earth!

Look! Ah Loon smiles in photos! Go buy toto people!

Sadly, Cindy can't be with Malaysia for long, so on her last morning in KL, she made me go to work late and treat her breakfast. Don't worry Cindy, this won't be your last Malaysian-food meal, you can learn how to make topi tosai and earn big money over there! 1 topi tosai, 3 pounds! Haha!

There was one morning I took half day leave to go for Swinburne Uni of Technology talk, organised by Mrs Toh from PJCAD to share with fellow students on studying in Australia. The schematic designs are fantastic! I wish I could show you but nope, I can't. But the ideas were there - having library at Gua Niah; how cool is that!

Well, for lunch, I went to some shop quite near college that sales fish noodles! The noodles made of fish! Well Mummy, if I can still remember how to get there, I told Aunty Cordelia that I would bring along Mummy and Aunty Marg to dine there.

While Pearly was around, I used my Friday and Saturday to spend time with her. Sometimes I don't understand why my sisters depend on me so much to pack! They're terrible at packing! But Pearly is a focused person! She'll make sure things will get her way, forced Jonas to bring less things over there just so that she can bring all her sauces to Russia. 27kg.

And she helped me move house. Too bad I didn't take the pictures of how we stuff many things on trolley from kilang and dragged it to new place. It wasn't long when I sent Pearly to the airport to witness the second sister leaving. Gosh...

Thank goodness the world has Royce and Alan. They were big help though Alan was really busy with his hotel project which I know it's seriously hard. I feel you, Alan. Alan helped me take care of stuff in the new house while Pearly and I moved the things around and when Royce and I bring all the heavy things to new home. Throughout my frustrations, Royce was there =)

Papa on the other hand was a big help too! I ACTUALLY WITNESS HIS STOMACH SHRUNK!

New home is a great comfort. I have kitchen cabinets! But the kitchen cabinets are ergonomically wrong! But then ler, give and take la. No pictures! Coz no time to clean home. Haha! You come and see for yourself alright, Mummy?

Yesterday I went on a 'date' with our dear friend Royce to check out True Fitness. Thanks to Cindy for smuggling me in several times to Fitness First, I do have my indepths on fitness centres. And I get to know I am obese! I have 33% fat in me. Haha! Lack exercise. I forgot what's the ideal fat level, but I get to know for every extra 1% fat you'll lose 1 year of your life. I told the fitness person, Ken, that I decided to live up to 100 years, minus the percentage of fats I have, I probably live up to 80++ years. Not bad what! Well, after he heard my statement, he almost fall of his chair.

And we saw mimes! High class mines from Pavillion! They're not the average mimes that walks like normal people; they have to move like a statue for 6-8 hours in their wraped up costumes! It was really hot! But very pretty. Hrm... too much to suffer to be beautiful...

One of them so lazy just stay at one spot while holding up a ball like a sun.

I am grateful for having such good photographer! Haha!

Look, I'm so pretty hor?

Ok enough being crappy.

Life being as a working adult is fun, and not that fun at the same time because it's about being responsible for every actions you make. You cannot spend so much, need to save, bla bla bla... being an adult is difficult! Can't I just sleep at home like Monster??

But I like where I work. I meet Jerome, my dear Chan, Lynette, new and wonderful friends like Lee, Perry, Jane and Liyana... sadly Liyana left before I really get to know her. She's the funniest Malay I've met. Very responsible and very direct, always talk nonsense and rubbishes and still faithfully wears a tudong. And she's married. Did I mention she's my age?? Gosh... when I asked her why is she married at such a young age, Lynette immediately butt in and said, "Because she's horny." Haha! Too direct to be true.

It's late, and the next day's Royce birthday! Happy birthday Royce! You're a wonderful friend to be with! I'm sure you'll prosper in anything and everything you do! Pokes =)

Singapore Trip with Cindy

I went to Singapore with Cindy!

One of my greatest highlights was: do you know Cindy can sleep within 2 seconds after she stopped talking? She snored too!

When we reached Singapore, Cindy, a Powerful Choleric immediately took action by looking through the MRT list on which station we should head next. Well, we got to the right station, alright, and once we were outside, Cindy spotted an uncle who sells ice cream block and without thinking twice she immediately bought one. Talk about babi.

No time to waste we immediately left for Ah Loon's ROV thing at Tampines (tamp-pin-ness as in the guy's stuff, and this smart Cindy said Tangerine instead of Tampines). We didn't know where the taxi stand is but as we walked we saw bus stands so might as well take the bus. You can see all the weird busses around, like this really long bus.

Yes, dear Cindy took bus ride!

We reached safely at the ROV centre and our dear Cindy got so excited hat she immediately took her camera (finally) and start snapping pictures like nobody's business and text Ah Loon with speed of light. Never in my life I've seen Cindy this excited before.

This is a mini ROV where students use it in swimming pool for fun. Yeah, expensive toy alright.

This person who talked to Cindy and I (I didn't exactly listen because I'm abit sleepy due to not enough sleep and I was busy snapping pictures), I can't remember his name but he's really patient and nice and brought us around the centre to show Cindy and I how the lessons are going to be like and what kind of insights students will get.

Right after that we head of to the infamous Orchard Road! Even the entrance to the Orchard Road MRT is nice, unlike our Pasar Seni LRT. I don't want to mention too much; afterall, I'm from Malaysia.

That's Tang with a huge poster of Eva Longoria pasted on the very Chinese Dynasty Ming or whatsoever building. I think that's the most unique building in Orchard Road. In fact most buildings at Orchard Road are high rise that Spiderman can still swing here and there. And the girls there are so dressy! Though the weather was hot, their makeup became thicker! Girls there are so hot that gays might turn straight.

We dropped by at Wisma Atria and grab some food. The food was wonderful! And these people are very generous with their prawns (if you don't convert your currency of course).

Can you see me within the atrium of the mall?

Look Mummy! L'Occitane!

And Geox! Too bad no such souveniers for you. That's why we took pictures instead.

Of course there are many interesting to see along the old streets of Singapore but too bad we didn't have much time.

One of the interesting places in Singapore is Chinatown!

Their Chinatown is so interesting, that someone actually wrote a poem about Chinatown and pasted on the walls of their MRT station.

Singapore Chinatown might not be as ever-so-bargaining like Chee Chiung Khai, but at least it's really clean and the people there consist of Chinese and are not rude.

Come on man, we have indians at Chee Chiung Khai scolding people like their grandparents owns the road.

Win a FREE ride in a police car just by shoplifting from that stall! Let's do it!

While Cindy went out with Ave, I finally have my one hour walk with myself and Hobart, of course, around Singapore! I wanted so much to see the lion with a tail thing and Esplanade! But the weather was so hot and I got lost for half an hour walking the wrong way. And it was so hot! My hands were burning like crazy and I had to carry so many things!

When I finally see something that looks like Esplanade, I got really excited!

Look! Finally! The Mer-Lion that pukes out water!

Esplanade was across the Singapore River, across the bridge, and I only have 15 minutes and it was so so so so so hot, so forget Esplanade. Probably for next time.

The sad thing about walking alone is no one will take pictures for you and I was looking around for someone to take pictures for me and everyone seemed distance so forget it.

But Hobart is lucky though. Hobart was in Singapore!

I rushed back to Republic Plaza where Cindy and Ave was there and I came across Ascott Raffles Place. i stopped to take a picture of their old grand entrance and the bellboy saw me and open the doors for me to take picture. So nice of them but I didn't get a good view... sorry bellboy-san.

This is Ave and Cindy! Ave works in Deutsche Bank in Singapore and originally from UK and has been helping Cindy with information of London. She is really sweet and an outgoing person. Cindy sure meet good people in her field.

The MRT station looks like this. Abit like Hong Kong don't you think?

This is the Fullerton Building which is attached to the Fullerton Hotel. It's like a huge massive palace, situated opposite the park where the mer-lion that pukes out water lies.

Because I got lost for 45 minutes and didn't even stop by to buy myself food and not forgetting the weather was so so so so hot, Cindy and I stopped by at Starbucks and she chia me eat potato salad!

We rushed to our final destination, Vivo City!

That's the Candy Empire! Gosh! I think we spent alot on chocs. Can't help it. It was tempting and cheap compare to KL price even after conversion.

Cindy brought me to Sky Park so that we can catch a glimpse of Sentosa Island. They're doing alot of upgrading it seems.

Well, stuff animals got excited so they took turn to take pictures!

Then tupit Gon started to think like godzilla and wanted to terrorize the people at the cable car but Cindy grabbed him and stuffed him in her bag. Haha!

I wonder if they put this at the KLCC park, will the people understand?

We head on to food republic to spend out leftover time in Singapore, trying to relax and enjoy the view of no tudongs (I'm racist).

Cindy and I shared alot of otak otak and ying yang drink each.

They used recycled door as decorations at Food Republic! Malaysians might burn the doors!

Shopping at Singaore is very different from KL. Singapore have great and unique taste that suits a designer like me. And the cloths there are quite cheap, too (if you don't convert). Imagine if you earn the same amount of money (don't convert), shopping in Singapore will be of great worth! Unlike in Malaysia. I feel cheated. Work hard but can't spend hard in Malaysia.

Cindy and I each got a watch for ourselves! And vain Cindy started modeling for her watch!

Sadly, we only left a pathetic 5 cents coin.

Our bus ride was waiting for us at Habour Front station and I was really sad to leave. Why you may ask? SO MANY HANDSOME GUYS AT SINGAPORE! WHEREVER I TURN I'LL SEE ONE! IT WAS SUCH BEAUTIFUL VIEWWWWWWWWWWWWW! I'm depressed.

While waiting in the bus with no one around, that's when people start doing crazy things, like taking out all the soft toys and start snapping away!

You know what's sad? The next day when I took the LRT to KLCC to meet up with Royce and Alan for a movie, when I turn left or right, I had a culture shock. NO HANDSOME GUYS AROUND!!

I shall stop here and sulk for our dear very-little-handsome-guys-Malaysia. Hobart said hi.
