My Easter Sunday

I received a lot of happy birthday messages! Including Cindy and Loon (who only shouted TUPIT over the phone) all the way from Redang, Pearly, Karen and Lee Nee messaged, too, Mummy called and Aunty Dorothy sang one line of happy birthday song and kept the rest of the lines for the following years to come.

I never actually celebrate my birthday for the past few years in KL (my definition of celebrating is having a cake and candle and someone sing happy birthday song in front of me) so I didn’t really expect anything this year is very different! Papa got me Domino Pizza (for the past years)!

I begin to appreciate more birthday wishes; friends in and out actually remembers (thanks to Facebook and Friendster for giving birthday attention), I also actually boh su go ask Kenny Sia to wish me happy birthday in his comment box and guess what?

Hi Jesmine,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

How old are ya? :)

Kenny

A reply!

Anyway as you know, my birthday falls on the Easter Saturday. So cool! I went to church early this morning (I went to church alright) and Aunty Alice spoke to me as if she didn’t see me for a long time; then again I don’t speak to anyone in church anyway. She asked about me and the family and I told her I’ll be finishing soon and work in KL somewhere in August after Cindy and Pearly leave (probably before) and she got to know Cindy is going to UK. And Aunty Alice’s comment was, “Mummy so ho mia!” Haha!

And we must always remember Jesus died for us and rose again! Praise God! Through Jesus we have joy, peace and hope.

"For God so love the world that he gave his one and only Son; that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life."
- John 3:16 -

Pastor Winston told us a very nice joke this morning about a man who fell to the train rail track and everyone rushed to him and screamed, "GIVE ME YOUR HAND! GIVE ME YOUR HAND!" But the man didn't even move. And suddenly a wise man came and asked, "Friend, what do you do?"

And the man's reply was, "Income tax."

And the wise man said, "Take my hand."

The man took his hand and got off the rail. Everyone was puzled why the man didn't take their offer and the wise man's reply was, "Income tax person don't give; they take."

I met up with Aunty and Uncle Power at One Utama today. They treated me Kiwi Juice and Tepanyaki for my belated birthday after their shopping. I had fun!

Royce will be staying overnight to finish his finals and I have to finish my final proposal at the same time. It’s tiring and hectic, but it’s fun to be a student! Doing my work now! Enjoy!

Appreciation

I’m 23! It feels weird because this year is a different year; I will be finishing my studies mid this year and I’ll be a working adult soon. The word ‘responsible’ is just not in my head yet. Soon enough my parents have to stop feeding me and I can’t ask for pocket money because I’m working… gosh…

I’ve decided to start a blog on my personal life, like a diary to record the wonderful things I have in life and every memories are very important and should be cherished.

Like my birthday. Believe it or not I’ve celebrated my 23rd birthday in 3 different occasions.

#1 Jason brought me to Bla bla bla restaurant and we had Midin Salad sprinkled with parmesan or cheddar cheese on top and it’s really nice. He got me a White Tiramisu and he had to sing happy birthday song in the restaurant. Though it was very fast, I do appreciate the fact that he bruised his ego and sang. Haha!

#2 Before I left for KL, Mummy actually got out from school earlier, picked Mama Mahjung, Popo See Ee and Che Che Nancy and got me a cake. Mamak Rose made a marvelous dinner. Auntie Marg was there too, so was Auntie Mui Kui and Auntie Irene from Miri. And they sang me a happy birthday song!

#3 Before Cindy and Ah Loon leave for Redang (they’re still in KL while I’m typing this), Cindy picked me up from college and brought Ah Loon home (so that she could take this advantage as an excuse of ‘buying sushi for Jesmine at Isetan’ but drop by at sport shop) and got me parts and pieces of my cake and put them together! Papa came with dinner. And I did get my birthday song from Papa and Cindy and unfortunately the tupit Gon (Loon didn’t sing because he don’t want to bruise his ego) was there to sing, too! How blessed. Hobart was there all the way from Kelana Jaya with Papa! Haha!

As for me, I have a wonderful early birthday celebration this year. What matters are I am still here, the way I am, who I have become, and having people I love around me.

To Mummy, Papa, Cindy and Pearly, being in the same roof with them had been one of the best (too much to jot down), worst, sad, nightmarish (Cindy bo su hit me with bantal peluk), embarrassing (Cindy and side parking event) of course good times and thank you for being around. The fact that we went through so much made us closer as a family. My family has been the greatest blessing of all times! Thanks for my shoes! Haha! And I love Hong Kong! Hobart loves Hong Kong, too!

To Jason. You are irreplaceable. I’m sorry if sometimes I fail to see the efforts you made and I would think otherwise.

To the people close to my family and I, you are blessing in disguise! Especially Auntie Marg who has been cooking for the spoilt people in the family, like Cindy and big baby, and me.

Royce, thank you for being sensitive and always thoughful, Ah Ben, love to hate him, hate to love him. Aunty Power, thank you for being nice and kind.

God bless you all! Happy birthday to me!
